with the superlatives and hyperbole mixed with excrement.

It's like watching a rerun over and over and over again. I do think it can work against him because he can't seem to vary it much anymore. At least some propagandists can be more dynamic and crafty with their message. This clown is just wearing it out and pounding his meat with a hammer.
