Turkeys conflict in Syria took a major turn today. First alleged atrocities by Turkish-backed Arab militias, executing Kurds. US military officials tell me it's true, and they are DEEPLY concerned it opens the door to BOTH ethnic cleansing of Kurds and return of ISIS/Al-Qaeda

americans need to stop ignoring the giant pile of crap under the living room rug. it's an easily fixable problem now that artificial intelligence makes talk radio easy to digitize, analyze, and list advertisers with little listening required. that will force the ad industry to finally apply market demand to the monopoly and break it up.
when that starts happening limnbaugh will end up on 100 stations out of 300 rw talk radio stations instead of 600 out of 1500. the gop will break down, trump won't be able to intimidate anyone, and if it happens soon - if the ad industry sees it coming and starts adjusting to prevent radio advertising exodus - he will lose the senate vote and be out on his ass, with pence out too, and nancy in the white house.
that is very dooable.

But now he's supposedly this genial guy who hangs out with Ellen at football games and if you complain about it your friends think you are being mean.

The Turks have wanted Kurdish land since the Ottoman Empire broke up.
We now have the tears of children and Kurdish blood on our ledger.

(37,160 posts)This particular sickening horror is one man's fault, but it's not the only such horror, and the collective horrors prior to this one have a great may fathers. And they all happen to be Republicans.

(14,577 posts)betrayed America by freeing up ISIS and Al-Qaeda from Kurdish prisons - they can't guard the terrorists very well if Turkey is rolling over them.
We'd better bloody well make some MAJOR reforms when Trump is mercifully removed from office, or no one will ever trust us again.

(493 posts)Never forget the co-conspirators, the Republican Party. The blood is on their hands.
He is surrendering ground to Turkey and Russia, and calling himself a patriot for ending wars.
Who in the GOP is letting him get away with this?
1800 American military personnel betrayed by their president. Saudi's send terrorists to hijack planes and crash them into our buildings, killing 1000s, their $$$$ is still accepted as we will rent our young men & women to Saudi Arabia as mercenaries. My God, impeach the draft dodging coward already!
Trump will go down in history as the first American president to have willingly betrayed his own country in service to a foreign enemy. His acts of treason will be taught in history books for generations to come, and the name Trump will become synonymous with treachery.

(9,426 posts)act alone. The gop is backing him 100%. They all need to be exposed for abandoning this country, as well as the Kurds. They are SUPPOSED to represent their constituents, not a Putin puppet. There is not a true patriot in the gop, or even an intelligent one. They follow stupid tRump like mice after a lump of cheese.

(11,316 posts)Hillary is right. And succinct. We can bleat on about the multiple layers of complicity .. and enabling. This led to that .. and on and on. But the fact is, if Trump isn't in the oval office (meaning any other qualified individual sitting there) .. Turkey does not get a green light to invade. End of story.
