Whoever wins a majority of the vote is elected. In fact, having two GOP candidates in the race seems to benefit 'em as if it were just two candidates, Edwards would win.

He's winning 89% in Orleans so far and 59% in BR (in a three way race).

at best it’s going to put at 47% to 48% short in what he needs to win this primary but looks like a runoff most likely.

There's no doubt it's headed to a runoff, with 95.3% of the vote in, Edwards is at 46.2%.
