"Talk to Rudy ..." because his calls aren't officially recorded or transcribed ??
On Chris Hayes' show last night, he emphasized that Rudy Colludiani has **NO** official position with the gov't -- which means he's not bound by the same rules and regulations that limit the actions of WH staff and other employees of the Executive Branch. His phone calls, letters, and conversations are not normally monitored by WH staff, and he's not bound by e.g. the Presidential Records Act. Does that make it harder for the House to subpoena his records, assuming he has any ? Is 45 doing this deliberately to make it harder for the investigative Committees to access this info -- like it took an FBI raid on Michael Cohen's office to obtain that info ? (Don't expect Barr's DOJ to approve any similar raids !)
Of course he is. Dems need to start lining up all the legal machinery they need to subpoena Colludiani's records, and maybe even make him the first person ever to be convicted under the Logan Act.
