It looks like this goes beyond the travesty of the betrayal and slaughter of the Kurds and the resurgence of ISIS.

The Turkish people are also going to be affected badly and it is starting to look like this is already turning into a growing destabilization of that region. That is very troubling and things could easily escalate the way that Erdogan is going all out.

So, Trump's action here may have far reaching and long-term consequences. Flashpoints are now a potential.

Christians living among them. I couldn't find a lot about that. If true, I wonder how it's working out for those Christian Kurds?

that Russia will fill. A reminder below of Turkey buying equipment from Russia.

IMO, Trump won’t hurt their economy at all because that would hurt his bottom line there with his Twin Trump Towers eyesore.

Plus we don't know what else he promised.

There's no reason to believe he's going to sanction Turkey. He only said that to appease the repubs who were outraged.

Weak poor people being slaughtered, women being put in their place by being raped and stoned to death. This is exactly what the Republican Party's values represent. This is not a red line, this is Conservatism helping Conservatism. Trump's red line would be if US troops are attacked, but he might actually want that so he can totally dispatch of NATO for Putin.

They can exterminate very last Kurd as far as Trump is concerned.
