Did anyone see the player on the S. Carolina football team at the end of the game..

I did not see the whole game but I believe that their quarterback was hurt early not sure who it was. Anyway, he was sitting on the bench in a brace on his right leg. At the end of the game when S, Carolina beat Georgia, they showed this player with both hands in the air celebrating. But both his hands were putting up the white power sign or the OK sing. Just wondering if anyone else seen this.

People who support it raise three fingers in honor of the brother. It's an unfortunate similarity that wasn't thought through very well.

we really need to stop seeing "white power" every time that sign is flashed. i refuse to give over a gesture that has meant "ok" for as long as i've been alive just because a few racist yahoos decided to "steal" it from everyone else. They don't get to take that from us.

We'll know damn well when that sign is being abused.......... don't look at the gesture, look at the person making it. When I see steven Miller making it i know it is racist.

we go apeshit over someone using the symbol. We need to focus on the context of the person that uses the A-OK symbol. If we don't get to examining context before going nuts, white supremacists will soon take ownership of another symbol that is now in common use.

People who are trying to make something out of nothing with this silly idea are doing a disservice to real progress.

They are likely figuring out the next currently socially acceptable symbol that they can hijack.

Stuff like this just plays into their hands. The small fraction of neo-Nazis who employ this kind of thing get more traction by seeing a few on the left respond, therefore alienating the majority of people who don't know or care about it. They just see some on the left going ape-shit over a stupid hand gesture while larger problems get ignored.
