If we look to history, our great country and freedom are under attack, Norris warns, standing next to his wife. Were at a tipping point and, quite possibly, our country as we know it may be lost forever if we dont change the course in which our country is headed.
The pair go on to explain that Obama won in 2008 because more than 30 million evangelical Christians stayed home on Election Day. We know you love your family and your freedom as much as Gena and I do, and it is because of that we can no longer sit quietly or stand on the sidelines and watch our country go the way of socialism or something much worse, Norris explains.
Quoting President Ronald Reagan, Norriss wife Gina adds that defeating Obama will preserve for our children this last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into 1,000 years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our childrens children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

(15,592 posts)Maybe you got hit in the head once too often. Since 1950 we have had R leadership for 36 years and D leadership for 24. For you to state that a President in office for just the last 3 years with an obstructionist Congress is the reason our country is in trouble defies explanation.

(49,212 posts)Depending on which nutty interpretation of John of Patmos' mushroom trip you prefer, the anti-Christ either creates 1,000 years of hell on Earth before Jesus shows up and wrecks his shit, or Jesus shows up and reigns for 1,000 years on Earth before tearing it down and building a McMansion on the original lot. But "1000 years of darkness" is totally hinting that Obama's the anti-Christ- Norris has a column on Word Net Daily, he's well-versed in the Evangelical dialect of Christianese and knows his audience knows exactly what he means.

(1,828 posts)If the evil that would cause this 1,000 years if darkness before Jesus comes, shouldn't these nutjobs WANT Obama to win? So he can get the show on the road, as it were? Why do they want to fight it and postpone their destiny? Why do they want to delay it? Why do they hate Jesus? The mind boggles!

(49,212 posts)But they tend to be the ones who believe in either a pre-tribulation Rapture or seven years of suffering they can totally power through if they stock up in canned food and ammunition. That's part of why Evangelicals have got so moist for Israel of late, they decided that they needed all the Jews to head back to their homeland so they can convert or die en masse, which is apparently a pre-requisite in some of their theology.

(2,787 posts)He should know what this means. Galatians 1 "As we said before, so I say now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that we have preached unto you, let him be accursed".
Yet he is supporting a mormon, and encouraging other so called evangelist to do the same. According to the bible mormonism is a another gospel which is really not a gospel at all.

(4,667 posts)Chuck Norris loves to expose his "christian values" on others but...............
From his Wikipedia page:
Family
Norris married Dianne Holechek in 1958. In 1963 their first child, Mike, was born. His daughter Dina was born in 1964 to a woman he was not married to.[20] Then, he had a second son, Eric, with his wife in 1965. After 30 years of marriage, Norris and Holechek divorced in 1988.
In November 1998, he married former model Gena O'Kelley, born in 1963 and 23 years Norris' junior. O'Kelley had two children from a previous marriage. She delivered twins in 2001: Dakota Alan Norris, a boy, and Daniele Kelly Norris, a girl.[21] The wedding was performed by Lawrence Kennedy, who is featured in Norris' autobiography. [22]
On September 22, 2004, Norris told Entertainment Tonight's Mary Hart that his daughter Dina was the result of an extramarital affair. He did not meet her until she was 26, although she learned that he was her father when she was 16. She sent a letter to his home informing him of their relationship. After meeting her, Norris said he knew she was his daughter upon seeing her.[23]
Chuck Norris has six grandchildren, three from his son Mike[24] and three from his son Eric.[25

(2,715 posts)WHEN Obama wins re-elction... let's give the righties something to talk about...
1.) All of us get together, in small groups (20 or so...)
2.) When the election is called, and Obama wins it, we all (simultaneously) don dark robes...
3.) Start chanting the mantra from the original Heavy Metal "UUU-LA-TEKH...UU-LA-TEKH" (Repeat as needed, chanted as deeply as you can...)
The next day, the sun rises, and the righties look silly.

they are pulling out all the stops to win this election. i think it is because they sense that their scam is about to fall apart.
those who continue to subscribe to trickle-down economics and american exceptionalism will have no choice but to wake up soon.
republicans know this and want to grab as much as possible before they are rejected and hunted down for the criminals they are.
this may prove to be a watershed moment in modern history.
clowns and jesters may come out to defend their masters but the rest of us don't have that luxury. we need honest and fair politicians and policies if we want a country that is worth living in.
how does it enhance norris' image to subscribe to and promote this fear-mongering? isn't he a strong-man? this appeal sounds so wimpy.

(4,340 posts)I posted this article on facebook, and this "progessive" friend of mine complained that the liberal journalist who penned the title was guilty of the same things for which we criticize conservative journalists, that Chuck Norris wasn't threatening anything. I pointed out dictionary definitions and everything else that would point to its valid usage, but he wouldn't have any of it. I think he just likes to bitch about liberals not being pure enough, but I thought I'd run it past you guys first.

It's getting to be a tired trend for the gopers. They deflect criticism for what they doing by getting some frontman to accuse the Democrats of doing it.
