Michigan just lost a great and good man. I'm talking about a Republican.

Gov. William Milliken just passed. One of this state's best governors. A Republican who believed in good government, government that served all of the citizens. He was pro-choice, he worked hand in hand with Democratic Detroit Mayor, Coleman Young. He was the last of a dying breed, a liberal Republican.

I grew up in Michigan and had an Aunt and Uncle very active in the Republican party in Lansing/Grand Ledge

And my mother was the same: never voted Republican. Except for Milliken.
