and as I've said before better he learn how to treat his staff better and pay his bills rather than badmouthing Dems. But it's the only way he can get attention these days. I think his last film earned less than $150,000. But nevermind, the self-avowed anti-capitalist isn't worried about money with 50 mil in the bank.

(591 posts)He made Bowling For Columbine, and Roger and Me, and pointed out the issues with income inequality years ago.
BUT
He also hung out with the predator Assange
He has given too much credence to Edward Snowden/derided a lot of Obamas efforts in the last months of his administration
And he basically was MIA when everyone else was campaigning to protect our country from what happened on November 8 2016. But was too happy to go on all the shows and blame everyone for not listening to him.
So I just dont know anymore.

(7,365 posts)Moore predicted she'd lose. Blowing Dump put in California wasn't where Moore was focused on. He said she was weak in PA, MI, OH....he was right. Only when Dems will admit the flaws in the game, can we draw up new plays on the white board.

As people keep pointing out, HILLARY AINT RUNNING FOR ANYTHING. Shes a citizen who poked the bear and man all the bears are taking the bait. Hillary didnt even have to name a name. Its incredible.
Then Moore crawls out with nobody likes her. Deflection for sure.

And it was essentially a two person race, any moron can predict the other person will win ... that's not a cerebral event in human history.

(18,486 posts)It's not like he selected 9 random numbers plus the Powerball out of the blue. Picking the one choice out of two that actually happened doesn't make him some sort of a great gifted oracle whose wisdom and prognostications must be heeded now and forever.more.
Moore uses the narrative that Hillary lost those states and the election. Trump and the Republicans stole those states and the election with help from Russia.
It took TREASON to steal it away from her.
Fuck Moore and his socialist bullshit.
Hortensis
(58,785 posts)Even without massive corruption of the election, it would be impossible to run a campaign that looked perfect in retrospect, without those "flaws" you fasten on as complete explanation.
This election was stolen using many techniques because that's how the Republicans do it now. They literally cannot win national elections by popular vote any more. They know it, Russia knows it, political scientists know it, you should know it. Over the past 40 years of a conservative era that allowed conservative domination of government, they've embedded a great deal of corruption that has helped them increase the theft at all levels more each decade.
Remember GA's AG Brian Kemp blatantly stealing the governor's race using various methods all over the state, but disenfranchising over a million voters to guarantee his own election -- while the world watched in amazement? And what happened then? What few legal avenues were available were pursued and failed, as GA's Republicans in government had designed them to, and then there were no more. Stacey Abrams was forced to announce her legal fight was at an end, but she cannot be forced to concede a blatantly stolen election and is fighting electoral corruption around the nation.
The same things are happening on smaller, less noticed scales all over the nation, wherever conservatives hold power. And Russia is interfering with all the assets of a nation state waging occult war.
I get that you don't respect Hillary and apparently most Democrats much, thus your choice to tune into Moore's attitudes, but you really need to at least respect and look for truth, whatever it is. Those who store lies instead of truth turn themselves into self-made idiots literally no longer capable of understanding their world. That's what's happened to millions on the right.
Btw, how do you feel about Moore claiming in one of his documentaries that President Obama told Flint mothers to give their children lead-poisoned water? He usually keeps this kind of thing to what can't be easily proven wrong by facts, but my guess is he just slipped and got a little over-indulgent of his own flaws there. Arrogance from getting away with almost all of them? Knowing he'll never be without people who respect him no matter how many finally become aware of his deeply flawed nature?

(12,545 posts)Minority rule will end with the abolition of the Electoral College and gerrymandering. A strict limit on campaign spending and a ban on campaign advertising from anyone but the candidates. Organizations like the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" played the media like a cheap fiddle and the "news" covered their ads like they were legitimate news when in fact the news was making contributions in kind to the Bush campaign. Fox News should be identified for what it is, a 24 / 7 Republican propaganda outlet.

(58,785 posts)of the liberal spectrum, and on graphs far left of the few genuine conservative Democrats we have in congress.
I sort of hate to see a post from someone who said he or she voted for her removed, but a claim that a liberal member of the Democratic caucus was too far right furthers the a blatant and easily disproved lie that mainstream Democrats lean conservative. They do not, only conservative Democrats lean conservative, and Hillary is in no way "right."
Yes, Sanders does imply or say it outright in one way or another most times he speaks in public, that Democrats are little different from Republicans. I've come to suspect he believes it, which is very strange and removed from reality if true. Just how far left is his perspective view coming from that he can't see real difference between the party determined to create national healthcare and the party determined to destroy it? Between those who put children in cages and people fighting to rescue them?
In any case, this is the Information Age and there's no excuse to believe him. If the poster is unhappy about the removed post, he can find out why it was by looking up Hillary's ideological record (studied by many honest researchers and on line). We're all targets of incoming lies 24/7/365, in fact elections have become battlefields in war. We have a duty to ourselves and the future of our nation to become well enough informed to be able to recognize most of them immediately, certainly this constantly repeated attempt to divide and conquer our party.

(61,650 posts)I'm fed up with the blatant lie that Hillary is "conservative." Invariably, people who promote this haven't done any reading into Hillary's actual positions or voting record.
Hortensis
(58,785 posts)"conservative," of course, but you and me and almost every Democrat in or running for office.
40% of the electorate didn't even bother to vote when McConnell was promising to destroy the ACA and Medicare, Trump was promising to persecute brown-skinned people, and Sanders was responding to discussions of Republican crimes with statements like "Anyway, the Democrats do it too."
NO. We don't.

He is a self-grandiose blowhard who loves attention, that very few give to him now from his several well done documentaries from the past
People like to say he predicted 2016, but they seem to forget that he also told us how McCain and Romney were going to win.
He started bashing the Democratic party at the Women's unity march when Ashley Judd took the podium and told him to go sit down.

(6,960 posts)He is a pretty good political handicapper -- he was right about 2016.
That's why the Hillary folks don't like him ... because he saw what they refused to see and what they still don't want to acknowledge: Clinton ran a bad campaign and Trump obviously out did her where it counted in Wisconsin and Michigan.
Disparege and ignore Moore's perspective at your own peril, unless you want another four years of Trump.
