It's even worse than kidnapping ... its text book Article II Genocide defined by the UN

Great thread here with details - https://www.democraticunderground.com/100212600558

https://apnews.com/97b06cede0c149c492bf25a48cb6c26f

***AP Investigation: Deported parents may lose kids to adoption***

As the deportees were led off the plane onto the steamy San Salvador tarmac, an anguished Araceli Ramos Bonilla burst into tears, her face contorted with pain: “They want to steal my daughter!”

It had been 10 weeks since Ramos had last held her 2-year-old, Alexa. Ten weeks since she was arrested crossing the border into Texas and U.S. immigration authorities seized her daughter and told her she would never see the girl again

The Trump administration is kidnapping kids by the thousands that are immigrants and not giving them back to their parents ... that looks like article 2 genocide

https://www.un.org/en/genocideprevention/genocide.shtml

Article II

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

- Killing members of the group;
- Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
- Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
- Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
- Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

I pray the world holds those who are part of Trumps dark force evil shit accountable for their actions.

is speaking at the “Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit” this year, FFS???????????

In a few days, Kirstjen Nielsen, the former secretary of homeland security best known for separating migrant children from their families and detaining them in inhumane conditions, is scheduled to speak at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington.

Hillary Clinton was set to speak at the summit, too. On Friday, however, she removed herself from the event, citing a scheduling conflict.

But a person close to Clinton’s decision-making process told Slate that she had decided to drop out after hearing that Nielsen was also on the docket. “We work with a lot of activists who are trying to do their best to improve this horrible situation down at the border,” the person said, citing Clinton’s support of RAICES and other organizations that advocate for asylees and immigrants. “At the end of the day, it’s an easy decision. You have to side with them.”

Filmmaker Dream Hampton has also pulled out, writing:

Fortune should not be giving Kirstjen Nielsen a platform to rehabilitate her image. I’ve worked all my life to tell the stories of women, girls and families. Sharing a stage with Nielsen, who separated immigrant families and put babies in cages, would have put a stamp of approval on her immoral and reprehensible actions and help legitimize the terror that Trump is inflicting on immigrants and communities of color. So I’m cancelling my attendance and encourage other speakers to do the same. I’m thankful for the organizing CREDO Action, Define American and Bend the Arc have done to hold Trump collaborators like Nielsen accountable for their atrocities.

Reputation rinsing ― using visible, celebratory platforms to restore and normalize monstrous abuse ― was actually common practice for predators like R Kelly and Jeffrey Epstein. When every infant, toddler, child and teenager Nielsen is responsible for ripping from their families is released and reunited, when attempts at restitution are made, then perhaps she can face one of them for a public “interview.” Perhaps they’ll begin by asking her a softball, like “Does she now know Norway is a white country?”

not only did she do nothing to stop it, as you say; she actually denied it was happening, even while administration spokescreeps were admitting it, and standing proud and tall about the presumed effectiveness of their "deterrent".

Simply stated, she knew it was policy. She also knew that we, the "little people" would protest the policy. So she bald-faced lied about the policy -- and said it did not exist.

I read somewhere that her reputation was thus tarnished. I totally disagree with the assessment. Her "reputation" was not tarnished but, rather, revealed. She is a cold, soulless, willing (even eager) servant of cruelty.

Hell awaits.

I think she was sort of an "ice-lady" who warned the president not because what he was doing was horrible but because it might cause him legal problems. Like, it would be a terrible pity, you know, should the suffering of a few thousand brown children chattering tearfully in spanish should get His Eminence into some little difficulty. But "His Eminence" hadn't reached the level of dictator-adolescence yet. If he had, he might have understood the message she was trying to send. But, no, he was still a dictator-toddler, so he thowed his bean toy twucks and cars and legos at the bad wady and made her go home cwying.

And, oh yeah, he remains a toddler to this day and will die a toddler, whining and soiling his bed linens with the excrescence of his rheumy eyes, gargantuan bum, and little tiny mushroom. Wah, wah, freaking wah!

Even if Trump were imprisoned, he could win a second time -- with the help of Russia, of course, and other dictatorial governments he has supported during his illegitimate first term (see Saudi Arabia, for example, and even, god help us, Turkey!); oh, and also with the help of the 30 million or so loyalists who follow him because they're rich as Croesus (1% or 2% of them) or (for the remaining 98% or 99% of true Trumpers) because they don't have the brains with which they were born.

Myself, I do not think he will win in 2020. But I would have lost my house and my first born if I'd known a way to put them up as collateral in a bet that Hillary Clinton was going to win handily in 2016.

We've know how bad these concentration camps are for a while now. Good to see the UN rules, because now we know the action of the Trump 'administration' are genocidal, and so may be held accountable under international law.

The kids were separate as a way of indoctrinating them to Western ways, many were abused, tortured or killed.

Instead it's about something that happened in 2015, based on an article from 2018.

It's a textbook bad example.
