Putin can't completely control what's happening in the impeachment inquiries...

there is a slim chance that enough evidence and completely unacceptable behavior will be uncovered that the public will force Republicans to vote to remove Trump to save their own hides.

To hedge his bets....Putin is cashing in on his investment in Trump every way he can. He's having to take more risks of exposing his influence because if Trump is impeached, the ball game is over.

unless...

he has the same leverage over Pence.

anything he hoped, and achieved many/most of its goals... I expect putin would like to "manage" the impeachment and decline of drumpf (limiting direct connection to himself) while getting whatever else he can, but from here on out it's all gravy, IMO... MF45 was the pertect candidate (puppet) for the job.
