and if so, can the case be made that by knowingly helping ISIS by abandoning the Kurds keeping them imprisoned, could drumpf by susceptible to a charge of treason for helping the enemy?

(25,473 posts)We were *at* war until 1945. Opinions vary on the exact date, but the two dates most often noted are August 14th, 1945, the date of the armistice, and September 2nd, 1945, the date Japan formally surrendered.

(32,064 posts)Congress has refused to fulfill its Article One Constitutional duties and authorize war. The last official war declaration was made in early 1942 against eastern European countries that sided with the Nazis. Since then they have surrendered their war making powers to the President.
