Gee. that was funnier and more intricate than I thought was going to either be or not be.
Well, you are either with me or against me on that one.

What about them?

(4,490 posts)Also highly unlikely you know a lot of people that have had zero exposure to politics. You don't have to care about politics to be aware. If you've ever watched television, used social media, or been in a work breakroom, you've been exposed to his awfulness, and politics.

(42,770 posts)range IQ. Hold decent jobs, love Facebook...to (unknowingly (not enough self-awareness)) brag about who they are with (great time..iow, I have friends, you don't). In TX anyway, they care about guns - right to have them. The biggest focus of bigotry IMHO is women (shouldn't run things). Second, IMHO, liberals. Liz Warren could never ever win TX. Ever. Hope I am wrong.

(5,914 posts)I don't care whom you're having sex with, as long as they're consenting adults. I don't care what the color of your skin is, what language you speak, or what your spiritual beliefs are. None of that matters a whit. I actually embrace the difference and find it interesting.
Just don't be a fucking dick. Is it really that hard for some people? Assholes transcend all races, colors, and creeds.
This is a philosophy that has served me very well over time.

(81,459 posts)Youll also see TONS of people insisting they knew he was no good and they didnt vote for him, when they actually DID vote for him. Nobody will want to admit they supported trump. It wont be cool by then.
I can remember the post-Watergate era. You couldnt pay somebody to admit they voted for Nixon. He was a man without a fan base. But one usually snickered at that, because in the back of ones mind would always be well, all those votes had to come from somewhere!

(15,552 posts)I loved reminding those I knew who voted for him of how much grief they gave me for voting for McGovern. Some of them didn't take it very well. Some of them were people I warned not to vote for him because there was something in the works that was about to blow up for Nixon.

(15,243 posts)Those who allowed themselves to be convinced by a confluence of conflicting events in 2016 and ignoring the obvious voted for Donald Trump. Those who continue to ignore the obvious facts after Trump was elected 11/9. I have problems with both and I will not get over it.
Due to the severity of Trumpism voters of 3rd party candidates share in enabling this disaster.

They of course will not admit to it once he's gone but as someone else observed in another post on this thread, those votes had to come from somewhere.
Sadly it breaks down demographically along racial lines. Two thirds of white men and 53 percent of white women voted for trump in 2016.
