Trump says remark about Colorado border wall was made 'kiddingly'

President Trump early Thursday morning sought to clarify remarks he made regarding his long-promised wall along the southern border, saying he was only kidding when he mentioned that a barrier was being constructed along the nonborder state of Colorado.

"Kiddingly- We’re building a Wall in Colorado," Trump said on Twitter, before arguing that he intended to say that residents in states like Colorado and Kansas were getting the benefit of a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump sparked mockery from several Democratic lawmakers Wednesday night after telling a crowd at the Shale Insight Conference in Pittsburgh that the U.S. was in the process of building a wall along the southern border of Colorado, a state that sits directly north New Mexico.

Meanwhile, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) tweeted a photo of a U.S. map with a sharpie altering the boundaries of the U.S.-Mexico border.

was the crowd applauding the announcement of a Colorado wall instead of the stunned silence it should have engendered.

He's known for his keen sense of humor.

And he's appealing to the similarly keen sense of humor among his band of cultists.

Ever see a conservative so-called comedian. I catch a clip now and then. Conservative? Sure. Funny? Not so much. Well, not at all.

If he fucked up what he was trying to say, then he fucked up. He doesn't get to hide behind "kidding." Just after the remark about building the wall in Colorado, he said that while Kansas wasn't going to have the wall built there, Kansas would enjoy the alleged benefits of Trump's fabled wall. So for a moment or two, he was able to give voice to his "thoughts" accurately enough for Kansas, but not Colorado.

The guy even lies about his lying.

He doesn't "kid." He never laughs. He only ridicules others with school yard taunts.

Get him out of office and let him keep tweeting his lies. If he doesn't like libel laws now, wait until he gets hit with a tsunami of lawsuits, and no one to say, "A president can shoot people and not even be stopped."
