The reporter was originally speaking with Smellyanne's assistant who asked if they could speak off the record but then she decides to break in on the conversation. Never was there a request for off the record between her and the reporter. There may be a divorce when George listens to these comments. as they were recorded and in the media now.

she's been working the Repub asshole train for many years. She claims to be "powerful" but she's always hitched her wagon to the biggest RW asshole around. More projection. By claiming George "gets his power" from her, she is acknowledging that she gets her power from Trump, and she's obviously scared that he's going down.
