An open letter to Lindsey Graham

To: Lindsey Graham (R - Lying Asshole)

As is usually the case when addressing any Republican these days, my first comment is an obvious one: Just where the fuck do you get off?

Re your ludicrous resolution: ”The purpose of the resolution is to let the House know that the process you’re engaging in regarding the attempted impeachment of President Trump is out of bounds, is inconsistent with due process as we know it …. and is a substantial deviation from what the House has done in the past regarding impeachment of other presidents.”

First of all, are you unaware that we’ve all seen the video footage of what you said during the impeachment inquiry into Bill Clinton, and how you took a completely opposite position on how the process was to be followed at that time?

Secondly, you stated that the Trump impeachment inquiry is a ‘secret proceeding and a rogue action’. Let me remind you of what a secret proceeding consists of. It would include a “pResident” having closed door, one-on-one meetings with our enemies, e.g. Putin and Kim Jong Un, and refusing to disclose to anyone what was discussed. It would include transcripts/audios of phone conversations with world leaders that are secreted away on stand-alone servers with highly limited access thereto.

A ‘rogue action’ would be standing on a stage in Helsinki and declaring that despite the overwhelming evidence confirmed by our own intelligence agencies that Russia had attacked the 2016 election, Putin was completely innocent of any involvement. A ‘rogue action’ would be unilaterally deciding to abandon our allies, the Kurds, and literally handing Putin and Erdogan a victory over our country.

You’ve stated that the ongoing impeachment inquiry into President Trump is "dangerous to the future of the presidency". What’s dangerous here is a “pResident” who is willing to ignore the Constitution and the rule of law, and use taxpayer dollars as leverage to extort damaging information on a political rival from our ally, Ukraine. Your concern is not the future of the presidency – it’s the future of a traitor who only ascended to the presidency with the help of our Russian foes.

I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt, Linds, and assume that you were born with a pair of balls. But they obviously shrivelled up years ago, especially when you sat in silence as your “pResident” trashed John McCain, a war hero who you held out as one of your closest friends. That, more than any other despicable thing you have done over the years, was indisputable proof of just how ball-less you really are.

I will give you credit for one thing. You were downright prescient when you said, “If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed – and we will deserve it.”

Well, lo and behold, that is exactly where you and your party are right now, about to go down with the lying, racist, pussy-grabbing traitor you’ve enabled, encouraged, lied for, perjured yourselves for, and conspired with in order to keep your grubby little hands on political power.

Let’s face facts, Linds. I’m sure you’ve seen the polls that show that your Russian ass-kissing “pResident” doesn’t have a chance in hell of being re-elected. I’m sure you’ve noticed that right now, the majority of the country thinks your “pResident” should be impeached and removed from office. But then again, perhaps you actually are unaware of those facts, having your head so far up Trump’s ass that you are unable to hear and see what’s going on in the real world.

While you and your cohorts are busy staging attention-getting ‘stunts’ – like storming a SCIF like a bunch of sophomore boys raiding the girls’ locker room in high school – the rest of the country is wondering why you Republicans don’t seem to have any defence of your Dotard’s actions.

Whether by impeachment or by losing the 2020 election – which is now assured given that his ‘base’ doesn’t have the numbers to re-elect him – your “pResident” is going down, at which point he will immediately be facing charges of tax evasion, money laundering, et cetera, in New York state. Of course, when that happens, you and your fellow GOPers will deny ever having known the criminal, no less supported him. He will just be another ‘coffee boy’ who worked at the White House once upon a time.

You can fool ‘some of the people, some of the time’, Linds. But the only people you are fooling are the people too stupid to understand what’s going on. And even they are now wondering what the fuck you’re doing.

Let me put it in terms simple enough for even you to understand. If contempt was the surface of the ocean, you and your party would require scuba gear in order to breathe. That is how far beneath contempt you all are.
