About your mom. I don't know her, but I'm pretty sure she didn't teach you to give sarcastic thanks, or to go out of your way to say "thanks for nothing" to people who are just trying.

Most people on DU, when there's a poster or post that they don't like, they let it go, and say nothing when they have nothing good to say. You might try that.

That you got even slight sarcasm was only 'in kind' for what you unnecessarily, gratuitously wrote here.

of my need to express my viewpoint and that expression was not gratuitous or unnecessary for me.
Is there no room for us to reach an understanding and level of acceptance? If I thought otherwise I wouldn't still be communicating.

Rethink how you get attention, and then walk it back using your mother.

If we all start alerting for a little snark here at DU we'll be busy forever! I actually have a long list of people that I've placed on total ignore so I know what's available for self-protection, if needed. I actually reviewed your original op and you did mention Facebook in your title so my bad for the faux outrage.
