Sen. Lindsey Graham: Every American should be bothered by what Democrats are doing to Trump
Sen. Lindsey Graham, after introducing a resolution to condemn the House Democrats impeachment inquiry on Thursday, called the process a shadow substitute after the transparent process was shot dow

Seriously, I dont know what Graham was thinking. Never mind that he couldn't get 1 Democrat; he couldn't even get to 100% of Republicans. Wait a minute ...
... is it possible that this resolution was Graham's way of alerting Trump that he's in trouble - while himself of course avowing 110% loyalty?
If Senate were to vote 54-46 for removal, then yes Trump stays on job - but wow will he be disgraced and damaged. And of course if count is 54-46, goodbye to any hope of wrapping up the proceedings in an afternoon.
Moreover, if reliable pro-Trump caucus has *already* shriveled to 46 ... and if that 46 includes senators like Burr, Sasse, Toomey whom Trump cannot count upon in a clinch - then things really look dark for Trump.
Not possible Graham doesn't understand all those mechanics way better than random journos on Twitter. Has Graham's game been all along to position himself for maximally effective treachery at the maximally effective time?

(5,812 posts)Let's face it, no one but those in the closed door hearings knows all of what has been said and how bad it is. If 7 Repukes are backing off now...well, IMO, when it all comes out, there may be a "Goldwater moment" for Trump.
I doubt it that Trump has the ability to do what Nixon did and resign. IMO, he will ride the wave until he makes the history books as the first prez impeached AND removed.

Wrong again, Lindsey...Every American should be bothered by what Trump is doing to America. So far only ~55% of us are, though...
If Trump has a problem with being investigated, and DOESN'T want to eventually be impeached, he should...maybe...idunno....STOP BREAKING THE LAW??
Lindsey Graham. What a fucking idiot...

(1,648 posts)Power wash with bleach, sanitizing scrub, and steam clean every inch of the White House when the republican shit stain leaves for the next occupant. All historical items shall be sanitized as painstakingly as possible and all wall/floor coverings shall be removed for resurfacing after final steam clean step is complete. All ventilation or any other area where tRUMP cooties and bed bugs could reside shall also be sanitized. When complete, the White House should resemble a "brand new" status. If necessary, demo the old White House and rebuild to for the sake of restoring the White House to esteemed prestige.
Personally, I would want it torn down and rebuilt for the next President just to remove the foul stench.
