Sean Duffy trying to walk it back:

Lt. Col. Vindman is an American war hero. As I said clearly this morning on air “I salute Mr. Vindman’s service.” My point is that Mr. Vindman is an unelected advisor, he gives ADVICE. President Trump sets the policy.

That point doesn't matter whatsoever.

Vindman is a reputable, non-partisan citizen and witness to the phone call - whether he is unelected or hand picked by President Bone Spurs or not.

Vindman's resume looks far more impressive than anything that Sean Duffy could dream up about himself.

And now the issue was that he was hired for the position, not elected to it?

How do either of these two concerns make Mr. Vindman's testimony less impactful or truthful?

Just reaching for ANYTHING while free falling.

All the "unelected advisor blah..blah..." reference is a false distraction. A first-hand witness to a president's bad policy decisions that were based on corrupt intent is what matters here.

The NSA, SECDEF, SECSTATE, and CJCS are all "unelected advisors" as well.

Miller, Bannon, Ivanka, Jared, Kellyanne, Gorka, Navarro, and.....GIULIANI.
Everyone of them is "unelected".
