2.This is the oath the Lt. Col Vindman took. I do solemnly swear I will support the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without mental reservation
And that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office about which I am about to enter. So help me God. The Purple ribbon on his uniform denotes an award of the Purple Heart. The blue badge above the ribbons is an award of the Combat Infantry Badge.
Below his ribbons are his Ranger tab and Airborne wings. Your attack doesnt raise questions about his fidelity to America, our Republic, and Constitution but it sure says something about yours and the band or smear merchants for whom no indecency, lie , slander or debasement
is too much when it comes to defending Trump. Slavish Devotion to the leader at all costs is what matters for all of you now. In America we take our Oaths and make our obligations to the Constitution and country not shambolic and debased cults of personality. Shame on you

(82,849 posts)Considering how the Republicans have used "insufficiently obeisant to the military" as a cudgel against Democrats for decades, I think Duffy is in for more hell than a little bit, and he'll deserve it.

(10,097 posts)to the detriment of the United States, according to Duffy everyone should just go along with that. Treason is ok if youre a Republican. So someone should ask Sean Duffy how he would respond about the presidents absolute right to set policy if a President Clinton had tried to bribe Ukraine for made-up dirt on a political opponent. A definite quid pro quo, as was Trumps Ukraine deal.
And, by the way, Vindman was not advising Trump, he was observing the president commit a crime. Theres a big difference.

(6,215 posts)I'm sure each one of those times the oath included the same basic phrase that all veterans have taken.
Support and defend the Constitution against all enemies and domestic.
Not a single damn phrase in the oath about presidents, party, or billionaire deep pockets.
We have to assume you don't understand the oath or don't care what it says. That speaks to your lack of real patriotism and certainly your lack of integrity. It must be all about the $$$$$
