Parade Saturday at 2 PM.

The Astros aren't the Yankees, with dozens of championships, and Houston is a Blue city. But I'm happy for the Nationals.

They were losing game 5, then they booed the orange menace. And after that they won game 6 and 7. So to borrow the typical GOP bullshit line of thinking, clearly GOD rewarded them for opposing evil.

And you know that if they'd lost, the orange menace would have been gloating and taunting that they lost because the failed to show respect.

it's like the ultimate good luck charm along with Baby Shark.

The women's soccer team also opposed Trump and supported Kaepernick and they won the Women's World Cup so I'm going to use those 2 data points as proof of this.

I don't watch baseball but Congrats Nats!

Trying to choose between Houston, who I hate, but they now have a favorite player, Michael Brantley, and DC, who I had no opinion of except they have two favorite players, Yan Gomes and Asdrubal Cabrera, and their manager was one of my first favorites when he played for the Cubs in the 80s. In the end, I’m very, very happy with the outcome. The Nats have a new fan in me. Congrats!

.. only because it's unlikely that my Pirates will do anything in the next 4 or 5 years. So I have to root for somebody, might as well be the Nats.

I have been a Pirates fan for several years now, ever since I went to a game at PNC Park while on vacation in Pittsburgh. I hope they get things sorted out soon.

...the patriotism of the Nat fans in booing the Russian pasty had me pulling for them.

The Seattle Mariners have never even been to the World Series. Also, I'm counting from the franchise's current location, not championships won when they were in a different city or were a different franchise entirely.

the thought crossed my mind -

“The BOO’s have it!” I became a Nationals fan in the 5th game when the fans booed trump. I’m no sports fan. But I soon had a favorite in that World Series.
