No Democrat should resign or be forced to resign their elected position unless and until convicted of a felony.

Use the GOP standard.

She didn’t strike me as a quitter, so it’s kind of odd.

and does not want anymore photos posted to cause her more humiliation and emotional damage.

She is dealing with a lot, everyone seeing her personal business, wanting to crush her ex's skull with a cast iron frying pan, and at the same time serve as a high visibility House rep. So, my guess is she wants to retreat into the background out of sight of the public, for no other reason than to hold onto what little privacy she has left.

I posted elsewhere that her Dad needs to take a baseball bat to the ex for the revenge porn.

and not wanting to air more personal issues...

but if she had a relationship with someone on her congressional staff after taking office, it demonstrates very bad judgement on her part and violates the rules of the House.

If she didn't and only had a relationship with someone on her campaign staff, I think she should have fought the smear.

She’s now as jobless as he is.

What an asshole her husband must be.

On a practical level, being liable for alimony and house payments when your district could flip on a dime is not a great situation.

Do congress members select and hire their own staff? What if someone hires a person that they formerly had a relationship with — is that a rules violation?
