Only in America can a Right Wing businessman be considered for president just 4 years after...

...Right Wing policies (especially deregulation) and businessmen create the worst financial crisis and the worst financial devastation in 80 years.

Don't you just love America...

In the UK, a right-wing government got into office and goes around claiming that it was left-wing policies of overspending on public services that caused the crisis. Same in some other Europaean countries, and in Canada; and in Australia they are just one parliamentary seat away from a right-wing government.

he's somebody that embodies the spirit of Wall Street (the one that ultimately caused the financial devastation across America), the conartistry, the profit at all costs mentality, the greed, the recklessness, the glorification of the rich. He would be the most friendly president to Wall Street in American history, because he is one of them. The fact that he's being considered by many for the presidency is stunning IMO.

Even more so than a guy who was running around wanting to go to war with everyone and anyone in 2008, after the Iraq debacle, was the republican candidate.

and a guy who campaigned, seriously, on a surplus being a BAD thing.

The same right wing radio hacks who tell the base and "liberal" media what to think, the meme 12 year ago, and this is for real, was that you can't trust government with a surplus, because it will buy up things that government has no business buying up, so you had to vote for Bush because he was going to give you your money back.

The same mendacious morons like Blitzer, Gregory, Mitchell, who now grill democrats so seriously about the debt that is going to destroy this country now, 12 years ago they were seriously posing the question to democrats, "but, senator, how can you trust government with a surplus?"

So, we had an election where a decent, intelligent and capable man was marginalized as arrogant and shifty, and the twit born on third base got elected because he was a guy you would want to have a beer with.

Most other people in the world are just content with making a living, having health care when they need it, taking vacations when they need them, and retiring when the time comes.

Since "The Great Risk Shift" started in 1981, it's every man, woman and child for themselves. For more than a few people in America, when they have something taken away from them (or nearly every right they USED to have taken away from them), they want to go and shift the blame to the "have too littles" instead of the "have way too fucking muches". Why?

Only in America are you taught by your ridiculous fantasy-peddling media that, you too, peasant, can BE a "have way too fucking much"!! When you become that guy or woman, you're going to WANT every advantage THEY have. You just have to be willing to work much, MUCH harder than you do already. We cling to and hang on to this fantasyland bullshit in a desperate attempt to BECOME "Mitt Romney" instead of wanting a secure living, having health care when you need it, taking vacations when you need them and retiring when the time comes.

That's why the idea of being the Mitt Romney that screws people over and steps on whoever they have to in order to climb to the top of the mountain is much more appealing and in tune with the greed-conditioned American's needs. That's why the idea of a "CEO pretzeldent" was popular enough for the people of America to begin with, and they are still on the "rags-to-riches" high despite all evidence that Bewsh's policies damaged this country almost beyond repair.

They don't seem to get that it's BECAUSE of the actions and policies of the sociopath CEO politicians that the likelihood of them ever ATTAINING "The American Dream" is slim to zilch. The more we move away from getting universal health care, the less likely entrepreneurship can happen.

at everything preppie' to the Presidency -again twice!

Until Obama's election, half of the US -and much of the world- were scratching their collective heads and thinking "WTF!?"

Sadly, it all may happen again with Romney, helped along by the Media, Big Money, election fraud (the real kind) voter disenfranchisement, and apathy among Democratic voters...

We've seen this sequel before.
