Last week, Mitt Romney wowed conservatives at the Republican National Convention, but one Texas representative remains unimpressed.
Former presidential candidate Ron Paul, who was described by the master of ceremonies at his Tampa campaign rally last Sunday as a clean boat in a sea of garbage, still has not endorsed the Republican presidential candidate.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Paul even went so far as to say the Republican Party was not his party and is, in many ways, irrelevant.
I do not like politics at all. I think both parties are Keynesian economists, and support positions that I do not like, said Paul.

C'mon Ron, run 3rd party. You know you want to do it!
(Please do not take this as an endorsement of Paul. I just am salivating at the thought of all those paulites voting 3rd party and not mittbot)

(20,600 posts)Ron Paul ran. On the topic, I'd love to see more choices than just two parties in America. If the Libertarians and the Greens could both get real support and be legitimately viable, that would be a great way to have more choices other than just two parties to choose from.

(2,786 posts)a wet dream for the 1%. Favors abolishing social security and medicare. Believes there should be no minimum age laws, or any of those pesky regulations on business. Hates the right organize, and right to strike.

(154,021 posts)they already have a candidate. And he did not, due to Rand... I suspect. If nothing else, blood was indeed thicker than politics this year.
What I would love to ask Ron is, if he hates SS and Medicare so much, let alone government run health care, why exactly does he partake on any of them? (And he does)
As to the Paulist, many will be voting for Gary Johnson who has been courting them HARD.
