Is Martin Bashir trying for Olbermann's "Angry Snarky Liberal TeeVee Commentator" seat on MSNBC?

With campaign season heating up, I have once again taken to watching news most of the day in my office. Bashir has recently come up on my radar.

Wow. He is as caustic, cutting, snarky, uncompromising, and liberal-to-the-core as anyone I've seen since Olbermann. Others may be as liberal, or even more, but few are as pugnacious about it as he is.

I like.

"Republicans have betrayed America" a little while back in a commentary he gave on tv. Yep, he is a fire breather!

Martin is great, but so is Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, etc. etc.

researched the claim that RMoney didn't address Afghanistan in the Convention speech because he addressed it "at length" the night before. Welllll.......Bashir went and found the tape. And Romney said the word Afghanistan ONCE. One sentence, that was it ! Even Lawrence O'Donnell had fallen for the 'meme' and congratulated Bashir on tracing it back. We need more like him and Chris.

I can't watch MSNBC until 4 p.m. tho. The morning and day shows are HORRID, blech.

I cannot stomach watching just small video portions of it. Joe's an obnoxious know-it-all & the lady co-host seems to sit back & roll her eyes because she is so obnoxiously afraid to commit to a principled stand. How DUers could sit through that crap is beyond me.

And, yes, Bashir is da bomb!

I've only been watching him for the past few days and I like his style. I tried to sit through that pile of Idon'tknowwhat with SE Cupp in it and changed the channel. The only thing I got from it was that she kind of looks like Christine O'Donnell's twin. I was so intent on trying to nail that one down that it was hard to listen to the dialogue--only that what I heard sounded like party gossip.
