You think he's joining the line for a presidential pardon?
gratuitous
(82,849 posts)Stone and his attorney feel the government hasn't proved its case against him. They're going to hang it all on a dazzling closing statement that will lay bare all the deficiencies in the government's case, deficiencies that they're only now going to point out. The government lawyers will then have one final opportunity to explain why those deficiencies are not deficiencies or are immaterial to the central questions of fact and law.

(31,121 posts)Can he lie 15,000 times in 3 yrs and still be prez?
Can he commit obstruction of justice dozens of times and have zero repercussion?
I could go on. IDK if he can pardon a co-conspirator, but in the end I dont think we will have courts and laws left to turn to, I think putin has a surprise in store for us and if people dont get their SHIT together and all say
VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO
then we definitely absolutely have no chance of surviving
But good question, who would decide? SC? Nah, only 4 justices on the SC, the other 5 are filthy scum who dont care at ALL about the rule of law or the constitution.

(14,083 posts)If he expects the jury to think that the state didn't prove its case, he must have asked to judge to dismiss the charges on those grounds. And if the judge refused, that means the judge believes that the prosecution has a legitimate case.

Roger Stone moves to dismiss case, says government didn't show he had an intermediary to WikiLeaks, that there was miscommunication & a misunderstanding between Stone & Credico. "Stone is not Nostradamus and he did not have an intermediary feeding him information."
