Snip--"Steve Castor Style
Castors style of questioning has been described as annoying to witnesses and those representing them. He likes to ask the same questions over and over again, and during the hearings, its expected that he will follow a dialogue of questioning that will please Trump."
Snip--'Steve Castor Depositions"
Since October 2019, Goldman and Castor led the questioning of witnesses in the private impeachment proceedings, gathering information into whether Trump abused his power in pressuring Ukraine to launch two politically beneficial probes while using a coveted White House meeting and nearly $400 million in military aid as leverage.
During the closed-door depositions, Castor has interrogated officials about Burisma, an energy company in Ukraine that employed former Vice President Joe Bidens son Hunter on its board, and another into an unsubstantiated theory that Ukraine interfered in the 2016 election on behalf of Hilary Clinton. The US intelligence community has found that Russia interfered in that election to boost Trump."

H2O Man
(73,581 posts)I do not know how good a lawyer he is, but he really had nothing to go on here. His weak questioning was surely the best anyone could do in these circumstances. I'd bet he can't wait to get home and slam a few stiff drinks down.
