I am better off now than I was 4 years ago.

I had a choice of the unemployment line or a 30% pay cut to keep my job. A salary job that would quickly expand to a 60-70 hr work week as they continued to downsize. They could justify that because Atlanta was hemorrhaging jobs and quite frankly I could do no better.

today

My employer had to make a choice, pay me more or I walk. He could no longer justify being a mini robber baron because jobs have slowly been coming back to Atlanta.

The fair market value of my house was dropping like a boulder. Nearly half the houses in my neighborhood were vacant in some stage of foreclosure and banks were doing everything they could to stick it to someone else.

Today
All but one of those houses is occupied because the Obama Administration and the Democrats in Congress forced the banks to behave better.

my husband's health insurance company refused to cover a lifesaving medicine using one excuse after another why not.

Today

Thanks to "Obamacare" that same insurance company is now covering it and that money we were paying out of pocket is being used to stimulate the economy on other things. Not to mention the refund check I got from that health insurance company because they were so chinsy with so many people's medical care.

So, Mr. Romney, you ask me if I'm better off now than I was 4 years ago? Well, yes - yes I am. And I think I'll be going home with the guy who brought me to this dance, President Obama.
