Trump expected in South Florida for Thanksgiving holiday

President Donald Trump is expected to return to South Florida to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday at his Mar-a-Lago estate and hold a “homecoming rally" for his supporters. Trump’s rally kicks off at 7 p.m. Nov. 26 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise.

The White House has not confirmed the Thanksgiving trip, but Trump has used Mar-a-Lago as a gathering spot for family even before he was elected president. During his Thanksgiving visit last year, Trump golfed with Jack Nicklaus and visited service members at a Coast Guard station in Riviera Beach.

Thanksgiving has marked the start of Trump’s visits to Mar-a-Lago, which he has dubbed the “Winter White House.” Last season, Trump made seven trips to Mar-a-Lago from Thanksgiving through May 1.

In addition to the campaign rally, Trump will headline a convention on Israeli-American relations Dec. 7 at The Diplomat in Hollywood, FL.
