(24,504 posts)I would love to see him subpoenaed to testify. If he's telling the truth, this is the perfect venue to prove your case, once and for all, in public and under oath.
Funny how Trump, Pompeo, Mick, and Rudy all are fighting not to testify.

(25,111 posts)and can not practice law as an duly legal attorney. He can not claim to be shithole's or anyone else's attorney of record. Rudy G. can offer advice and write legal papers such as lawsuits, motions, oppositions, etc., on behalf of an attorney duly licensed, Rudy G. can not execute such legal documents, and can not appear in court, arbitrations, mediations, depositions, etc. as an attorney only as an attendee.
Rudy G. can be a glorified law clerk.

(7,947 posts)He made a point that Trump isn't paying him (and not just like Trump never pays attorneys and suppliers, more like "I won't send him a bill" .
He was, however, paid $500K by Lev and Igor!

(58,785 posts)about what they're doing, and they can't tell the truth about the other party trying to protect the nation from their betrayals. Demonization of the enemy is a major strategy, every bit as much as the use of watercraft by navies.
We all wonder just how far down the road to irrationality he might genuinely be. And I'm guessing he's probably been trying to internalize and believe all the lies he needs to justify himself to himself, because everyone has at least some tendency to that and some are appallingly good at it.
But what I'm seeing is corrupt misuse of institutions to further illicit, illegal, and even evil actions using strategies proven very effective.
Experts in government corruption say this is what it is: not isolated erosions here and there as someone gets his hand in the cookie jar, but institutionalization of bad laws, bad managers, and destructive procedures that enable corrupt operators to misuse our institutions for purposes never intended.

(18,636 posts)After the WTC was attacked a lot of people suffered temporary insanity because they couldn't grasp the reality of terrorism here. Then after years of Fox News hammering a dire fear of dark skinned Muslims into them, a black man named Hussain was elected president.
It's not temporary anymore. Considering the above, is it any wonder Donald Trump is president?

(24,504 posts)This goes back to Nixon and the pedigree for the future of the GOP. Moderates and Liberals were kicked out and replaced by "conservative" ideologues.
The political inbreeding has gone on for decades. The result is a Party that now has only one objective: to maintain power. And, with that power, the personal wealth and rewards that are reaped by selling out our democracy.

Or why doesn't he ask Trump to give them visas?

(101,321 posts)I don't think even Giuliani wants Trump to have to openly import criminals into the US for his own purposes. He'd like to be able to blame it on an enemy.
