One of my best friends is a conspiracy theory person, and he has somehow come to believe that the axis of the earth is different than it was 10 years ago. He also believes that the magnetic pole is somewhere near Columbia.

I love him, but damn.

Last year, he had gotten in a fight with another friend and he angrily turned to me and asked me if I thought the world was round or flat. I said that, unfortunately, I believe that it is round. Oh my goodness I was happy when he put his hand in my shoulder and said, yes, the flat earthers are insane.

Society advances, and thank goodness. Can't imagine what this trough would be like without institutionalization of the liberal advances we made over the last century.

Some days do seem to be better than others? What causes that?

of astrology, I was wondering why we will be under the shadow of Mercury Rx when it went stationary direct last week. That only seems to be a day or so when the image of Mercury seems to be changing direction, takes some time to be "moving" again.

In reality, Rx* means that, in geocentric astrology, all planets go Rx as their motion is as it appears from Earth. So, since their ellipses are not perfect circle in the first place and from here they have a point at which they appear to stop and go in reverse, this is determined to be a special time of illuminated influence for good or bad.

So I had to wonder where your info originated.

*short for retrograde.

But I read some astrology program on the Internet that talked about the "shadow of the retrograde"?

Mercury is always very close to the Sun. I suppose they may mean that it is going forward but is still blocked by the Sun?

I have been interested in Mercury for a long time.

think it takes weeks for Mercury to appear to be traveling at regular speed. I don't think it matters after a couple days.
