Know what I like most about the convention?

I love that they are talking about the ACA. I love they are embracing it. They are talking about how it helps real people. They are talking about how a person's health relates to their economic well being. They are talking about how now even poor people have one less thing to worry about and how this will help people avoid becoming bankrupt. Another words they are not backing off.

I also love the contrast between this convention and whatever that was last week. The Democratic Platform is all about love and commitment. Letting people love who they want. Letting people make decisions about their own lives. That government should be committed to making the country and people's lives better. The GOP platform on the other hand is all about suppressing people, hate, and selfishness. Never have I seen such stark differences between the parties lain out for all to see and evaluate.

The first day of the DNC has totally put the RNC to shame. From the beautifully diverse audience to Michelle Obama tearing the roof off the place with her speech showing that Obama is from the 99%-people before corporations!

Glad you're here to share the DNC with us, and believe me, we need you!

From the soft spoken Harry "Rope-a-Dope" Reid, Jimmy Carter, and Lincoln Chafer, to the fiery Democratic House women.

High points for me, beyond the obvious ones, Tammy fucking Duckworth who single-handedly gave the lie to the entire RNC convention which never once mentioned the military, let alone war. She brought Joe Biden to tears, and me, too. Gawd, we need her. Please support Tammy Duckworth for Congress. That's presidential material there.

The Democrats were taking no prisoners. Even the Teddy Kennedy tribute skewered Rmoney.

But, the best of all were all the women. Gees Louise! They were brutal against the idiocy of the Republican position on women's health. Many of the male speakers echoed that.

My take away is that the Democrats are bringing the battle to the Republican's door. There is no escaping that the RNC has no where to hide. They are hoisted by their own petard. Embarrassing for them. I would be ashamed, if I were them.

Amazing night, and there are two to go.

embracing what the GOP thought would be an albatross by putting human faces to ACA and showing that it is WORKING ! The GOP (Goobers On Point) can only spout corporate opposition to Obama Care.

The mom of the baby girl with the bad heart who gets Obamacare and is protected from the predatory insurance companies' capping her coverage when she needs more surgery and the mom of children in every branch of the military who said she wasn't political, but if President Obama has her children's backs then the least she can do is return the gesture. I loved these women.
