New CNN poll on impeachment.

?s=20

Basically the impeachment hearings had no effect. Half the country still doesn't care that Trump committed high crimes and betrayed America. 50% is not enough to get Republicans to turn on Trump in the Senate.

That number won't move. What will move is our asses, to the polls. The hearings definitely cranked up my intensity, and I expect that's true for millions of voters. There are nearly twice as many Democrats as Deplorables, so intensity benefits us.

It's not like there are two different polar opinions about the same facts. 36% are completely unmoored from reality and don't know the facts, thanks to Fox News.

Nevertheless, Republicans does see major defeats in the 2020 elections. More and more Republicans are coming out against shithole. From readings, Nixon's so called polling for impeachment was very low.

Republican numbers are dwindling.

If it were a Democratic President with those numbers, CNN and every news outlet would be shouting from the rooftop of the demise of his or her presidency.

all seen that democratic presidents are held to a much higher standard than gop ones. More is expected from democratic presidents. The gop scrapes the bottom of the barrel, then backs them 100% as long as the tax cuts for their wealthy owners are kept in place. Imagine a democratic contender who had a former escort/nude model wife, a history of sexual escapades, 3 marriages, questionable relationship with his daughter, 6 bankruptcies, history of screwing people out of hard earned money, in debt up to his neck with Russia. Imagine!! Much more is expected from democratic presidential hopefuls. The gop settles for any moron that can get votes from other morons. tRump was PERFECT. Dumb as a rock, no morals, no class, no intelligence. All bluff and bluster.

probably really hurt any chance at breaking through the Fox News bubble of Alternative Facts - Smith, Chris Wallace and Andrew Napolitano together at least added up to some sane, intelligent conservative voices. With Smith gone, it's basically Wallace because a "legal analyst" like Napolitano can be sidelined or not invited on to other shows.

Trump's misdeeds do not affect the average Republican and, at the end of the day, what did he do? Something that would harm the election chances of a Democrat. Is there any wonder they aren't up in arm's?

Further, the average "independent" voter who simply "leans" one way or the other just says, "The Republicans acted crazy about Obama, and now the Democrats are just doing the same thing with the other party's President" because "bothsiderism" is easier than taking time an using your brain.

I've said before - an impeachment inquiry should have begun the day after Michael Cohen testified in open court that Donald Trump committed felony campaign finance fraud(at minimum).

I've read that some schools don't even teach government or civics anymore. WTF?

As people do better, they start voting like Republicans - unless they have too much education and vote Democratic, which proves there can be too much of a good thing.

At the same time, the right funded think tanks to craft their message & bought up radio stations to broadcast it. Ignoring hate radio for almost 40 years is the biggest mistake the dems made & continue to make.

The republicans are not turning on trump even if the polls showed 80% for impeach/remove--why, because trump has his own polls that show just the opposite, the republicans don't care what the people want because they will do what they want anyway, they always have. most americans didn't want war in iraq, the repukes didn't care, republicans just want your vote and that's it. vote for me then get out of my way I can do what I want. So it doesn't matter what the public wants the republicans are NOT going to vote for impeachment and they are NOT going to remove trump. What they will do is keep bullshting us with this ukraine-biden investigation so trump will have something negative to campaign on. WE NEED TO STOP WORRYING ABOUT PUBLIC OPINION, TRUMP BROKE THE LAW, HE SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER CRIMINAL!!!
