So no peep about Why this dog that was covered up for 18,000 years is now in melting permafrost. In the social media post going around it looks like a brand new a little black cocker spaniel puppy. This story at least has the actual ancient animal is unsettling as that is to what the insertion of the cute little puppy and the lack of any talk about climate change makes me think that this might be re-packaged to make climate change less scary. The FB posts are mushy as melting permafrost.
Weve been friends so long! Etc.
The source for the Independant article is the Siberia Times (???) which I wont link here but is in the article.
Does this look like happy talk bogus PR to you too?

(14,118 posts)dead, dead for 18,000 years. There's little to be done about volcanic cataclysms or earthquakes, but don't let anyone tell you that the human race is not bringing the biggest climate risk to all of us here in the present day.

The statement that we are destroying the Earth is a mis-statement. We will destroy us and a lot of life, but other species that can thrive on a hotter Earth will arise and thrive.

"We" are destroying "ourselves." Mother Earth will endure well past our species' tenure on this planet.

(31,261 posts)They just don't understand anything about how species have evolved. The species that will come after us will adapt or have adapted to a hotter, drier environment. Once they have evolved, their biosystems will tune to the climate that the Earth gives them.

Prehistoric animals have been found frozen in ice and permafrost for over a century. Another find is not necessarily because of melting permafrost.
