(61,698 posts)We pay 2-3×, and I'm not sure if it is better or more widely available.
BTW, TV, cable, internet, cell, etc services in places like north Georgia are still an access/cost issue. I'm sure that is true for other places that are considered "remote."
the Labor Party is proposing "free" broadband to every home.

Is that really subsidizing? I don't think so, but your mileage may vary.

(11,885 posts)Just like with prescription drugs, trump claimed he would get them lower , then big pharma pumped money into his campaign, which he funneled it into his and other pockets , and they've done nothing .

(6,261 posts)Especially since many of them are spams and scams. I suspect it may work the same way in Canada, but in Europe the caller always pays. Which may explain why there is a great deal less spam and scams. Of course cell numbers need to be identifiable by number, such special area codes.
It matters because I'm on prepaid.

(19,969 posts)Unlimited Broadband (allegedly 70mb, but doing well to get about 40mb most times)
Landline with unlimited Local and National calls
3 x Sim free Mobile Contracts, each with 30gb data and unlimited calls and texts a month
Plus no roaming charges in all EU countries, I could be in Greece and phone home for the price of a call in Ireland, and 7gb of data from my 30gb when abroad..
