Note to GOP - Faith without works is dead...

Paul Ryan, Reince Preibus, and other far right wingers are saying that "Obama ‘Purged’ Mentions Of God In Dem Platform"

Paul Ryan and Reince Preibus should check out James 2:14-26:

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

I watched most of the RNC hatefest, and while I don't recall their specific references to God, I do recall the crickets when Romney pretended to care about the poor:

"…That united America will care for the poor and the sick, will honor and respect the elderly, and will give a helping hand to those in need." Romney said at one point in his speech.

Dead silence in the hall.

Contrast that to DNC's opening night. Spiritual people probably saw, like I did, that God's light was shining through each speaker as they spoke about their lives and their passion for helping others. Again, I didn't tally each specific reference to God, although the most notable one, in my opinion, came from NARAL's President: "We believe that a woman should make health care decisions with her family, her doctor, and her God."

Mr. Ryan, Huckabee, whoever, you can mention GOD as much as you want during your speeches, but if your actions and sentiments are not Godly, it doesn't matter.

regarding the Pharisees (?), praying loudly at the temple? What was The Christ's response to them?

I refer you to Mathew 7: 21
