(10,182 posts)Well, at least some of them find the psycho and his gold digger repulsive.
That is one very, very yellow flying cape she's wearing...very odd choice.

(25,485 posts)Is she trying to blend into Clarence Houses yellowing walls with her bulbous, fortress-like silhouette and burnt butter color scheme? Or is she demanding attention with look-at-me fuchsia detailing and extra-wide parachute sleeves?
Perhaps she is just hungry and biding her time waiting for yum-yums by dressing like an English treat. My British editor, Tim Teeman, says the look reminds him of the boiled sweet rhubarb and custard, popular during the Victorian era.
As Melania posed next to her husband and Prince Charles, who appeared to be questioning every life decision he ever made that brought him to this cursed moment in time, the portraits lighting did her already questionable get-up little justice.
Karl Vootstallen questioned whether Melanias coat was inspired by Sesame Street, sharing a picture of Big Bird with the post.

(175,742 posts)rhubarb and custard both look more appetizing than Melodrama in that costume.

(3,433 posts)She is my favorite royal.
Her kids are normal as are her grandkids. She is an olympic equestrian and got back up on her horse to finish the event when she fell in 76 (despite having a concussion).
She does tons of charity work behind the scenes. She has maintained a average of nearly 500 engagements every year.
Two years before in 1974 Ian Ball attempted to kidnap her. Despite him shooting her bodyguard, she refused to go with him. He had a gun on her and her response to him leaving was "not bloody likely." Quote from Anne: I was basically lying flat on my back and Mark was half on top that was how we ended up after this tug-o-war, sort of collapsed in a heap, Anne said. But I could reach the door handle behind my head and I opened the door and literally pulled my feet over my head and did a backward somersault into the road. --- yeah she is awesome
She demands to be treated just like her brothers. She walked with the senior men in the family behind her grandmothers funeral procession. She continues to ride in full uniform with her brother and nephew during Trooping of the Color (not side saddle). And she doesnt look like she is playing a role. She takes it seriously just like all of her other responsibilities.
She really is one the hardest working members of the family.

(16,189 posts)many photos of her riding and competing internationally. Good write-ups about her ability and good-natured competitiveness.
And now she refuses to meet a demented dictator the Americans sent to her doorstep. Brava!

(175,742 posts)There was a large crowd gathered somewhere when I was walking back from dinner last night. I asked someone what was happening, and decided to wait with them. She walked out the back door and into a waiting car. It was over very quickly. She was dressed to the nines and wearing the gods only know how many pounds sterling worth of jewelry.

(66,381 posts)But I've come to adore her character on 'The Crown' (Meanwhile, Prince Philip becomes more and more odious...)
She's cute and funny, and very sharp-tongued...
She has a first-class mind in a family of C students.
