(47,482 posts)but even some Democrats did more talking than questioning. I don't think there was much more to ask these witnesses after the first hour though. Probably could have wrapped it up in half the time.
BumRushDaShow
(129,061 posts)They have been making a statement and then have asked the witnesses to define certain concepts that surround "impeachment" and various "impeachable" offenses.
The main questioning generally came at the beginning with the 2, 45-minutes sessions from the Chair/Ranking member and their counsels.
PatSeg
(47,482 posts)the beginning was much more interesting. Now they're pretty much repeating themselves and putting on a show for the camera.

Is the public audience allowed to bring cell phones or cameras into the hearing room?
Just after the House Judiciary Hearing broke for House Votes, I noticed this red shoes, red scarfed young woman approach the Democratic Representatives seating area with what appears to be her cell phone poised for picture taking.
She pauses & seemingly looks at her phone with her thumb in pic taking position.
She then slowly turns and walks towards a tall young man with glasses. He seemingly moves in concert with the direction she walks to remain in front of her.
As she is seen leaving, the phone in her left hand is replaced with her small clutch hand bag.
This scene can be viewed just after the hearing break or 1:35PM according to MSNBC screen time viewed in MST location
Look for yourselves in these pics. Better yet, watch the whole scene

(4,982 posts)Was such a stupid thing to ask. I mean, the Democrats have more decorum than to ask that of any witness or member. The repug asking the question did so, and not rhetorically by form, but probably was by intent, as they knew it would be stricken from the questioning. Just unfair and gross.

(4,982 posts)tRumps base represented a majority of the electorate. Instead, its roughly 20% tearing at the greater 80%. And if republicans had the courage to call his bluff, then we wouldnt have to put up with hearing leskos empty analysis.
And, I appreciated being reminded of Nadlers three pronged test from the end of 2018. Months before barr submarined the Mueller report. I agreed with his test then, and I agree with it now.
