President Obama's Original Health Care Plan

in 2008-2009. Now this was before the Insurance Companies began spending Billions to kill it,It was also before Insurance lobbyists flooded Washington at the Congressional and Senate offices. At the time there were several Democratic Congressmen and Senators that were being supported thru their PAC's by Insurance Companies. A name that stood out was Evan Bayh whose wife sat on the Board for WellPoint. He was one of the Democratic Senators that voted against the ACA.
So after all the millions/billions that was spent by Insurance Companies to kill the ACA Obama took what he could get which was a very watered down bill that basically (insured patients with previous illnesses)

When Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamal Harris first introduced their Medicare for all they soon realized that the brick wall set by Insurance companies was definitely a barrier, thus the reason for their new watered down version.
Then the MSM (Corporate mafia Media) picked up on this and began reporting Elizabeth Warren is backtracking on her MFA as well as Kamala and Bernie backing down somewhat for the Medicare for All.

2009: Health Care for America Plan
Once elected in 2009, Obama proposed the Health Care for America Plan. It provided medical insurance similar to Medicare for everyone who wanted it. Those who were happy with their existing health insurance could keep it. The federal government's size meant it could bargain for lower prices and reduce inefficiencies. By pooling all the uninsured together, it decreased insurance risk.
The payment schedule was:

•$70 for an individual.
•$140 for a couple.
•$130 for a single-parent family.
•$200 for all other families.
