Adam Schiff is miles ahead of Jerry Nadler as a spokesman for Impeachment (Original Post) brooklynite Dec 2019 OP
Nadler is a quiet person anyway. imanamerican63 Dec 2019 #1
Appreciate Nadler's efforts, but Schiff is exceptional. Feel like we've got this when he's speaking. Hoyt Dec 2019 #2

But not everyone is Adam Schiff. We can celebrate Adam Schiff without necessarily failing to appreciate someone like Nadler. I'm grateful for both of them.

... I hope it's just a one-time thing. Dry mouth? Seed stuck in dentures? --- It could be any number of things. I just hope it's temporary and not an affectation.

Now I'm going to be looking for it.
There have been other well-known politicians who have annoying affectation. The one that disgusts me the most is when a speaker has a foamy ball of saliva that forms in the corner of the mouth... or that "jumps" between the upper and lower lip... eventually being ejected and flying free when the speaker utters the "P" sound. It's sickening.

of the guillotine to be mocked and have to withstand anger of insane people.

Does a spokesperson have to be TV-ready? If so, exactly who will we wind up with and who will we pass over?

Nadler isn't a great public speaker but he's a solid chairman and strategist.

Schiff's handling of the Republicans in Committee is also much smoother than Nadler's.

... so that experience is serving him well now. Gerry Nadler's experience is of a different sort, more organizational and consensus-building. They are both honorable men and fine Democratic leaders. We should be thanking them both rather than nitpicking about their qualities.

The wingnut bomb throwers were even worse than SCHIFF's, and he faced them down.

He did his job respectfully.

It's that Schiff is so good that Nadler pales in comparison.

Schiff set the curve.

but that's who we've got and Nadler's ok and a good man.

In a perfect world, Swalwell would be the one in charge imo.
