We all know that rump is so into himself that a spy would probably end up with a recording full of nonsense mutterings about how manly he is etc., which of course is totally gross and totally wrong.

Still, he might pick up enough to drop a clue or two. Remember this last Sept. when they extracted a source who for decades had been telling the CIA what was going on with Putin? I think Rachel put it this way--the source was close enough to see documents on Putin's desk. Then after Trump blabbed his fool head off to the Russians a day after the Mueller report was released, the CIA decided to remove the source (the article surmises it could have been for any number of reasons, however).
