Another addition to my personal list of highly admired people

Val Demings. Her comments today gave me joy as she spoke so eloquently, so inspiringly and so uplifting as she described being a descendent of slaves, an enforcer of laws and now, the writer of those laws.

When her time to speak came this evening, I sat up and gave her my full attention. Her words are up there with Swalwell's and Cicilline's (just to name 2 of my faves).
