So close, too...checked the map.

People who moved from Kansas to Missouri were homesick?

Missouri couldn't think up something original like "Missouri City"?

Then it was platted as "The Town of Kansas" before the Civil War. Somewhere along the line it became "Kansas City". And there is already a Missouri City down river from KCMO and KC,KS (although it is more of town than a city). Come visit, have BBQ and hear some blues!

Two cities, actually, separated by the state line.

Kansas City, Missouri is famous for jazz and blues, steak and barbecue, casinos, Royals baseball and Chiefs football, numerous fountains, upscale shopping...

Kansas City, Kansas is famous for being next to Kansas City, Missouri...

I LOVED it!

THAT is what I'm looking for...fire in the belly!

On a daily basis, I usually look to Ed Schultz and Cenk Unger for some fire.

But I loved last night and I'm hoping for the same tonight.

Rep. Cleaver To Obama: ‘Continue To Speak Of Hope’

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver urged President Obama to continue to speak about "hope" during his speech in Charlotte Wednesday evening. Republicans often mock Obama's 2008 line about "hope and change."

"President Barack Obama has been lampooned for speaking of hope; hope for a better America," Cleaver said. "Yes, President Obama! Continue to have hope. Continue to speak of hope to the American people, because it is impossible for hope to overdraw its account in God's bank. The tough days our nation faced may have caused us great pain, but they must not and will not cause us to lose our hope. Hope fills the holes of my frustration in my heart. Hope inspires me to believe that any day now, we will catch up to the ideals put forth by our nation's founding fathers."

"Hope on!" he yelled enthusiastically, bringing the crowd to its feet. Delegates shouted "hope on!" in response.

I still remember his message from 12 years ago. Great speaker from the Dr. King school of rhetoric.

I missed his speechat the DNC. I can't wait to see it.
