What can one even say about our species these days?

I confess my eye has been off the ball - deep into the chaos and confusion of moving house after 28 years in this one. So I peek at DU every now and then to get the news.

And my only conclusion - a big slug of the world populace is just....shall we say....different? We have a Nobel Prize peace winner defending genocide. We have a buffoon winning big in the UK despite being (I have no words to describe what he is). We have an orange toned asshole seemingly doing everything in his power to be kicked out of office, yet he is adored by nearly half of our country, and protected by his party as if he were some sort of crown jewel.

I CAN NOT MAKE SENSE of it any more. I know that we as a species are particularly prone to propaganda - to repeated lies. Well, not all of the species - there is "us" at DU. We are a species that have a big portion that want to be lied to, told what to do, play follow the leader (the sheeple faction).

We have this incredible planet that is being squandered because of greed, bizarre religious beliefs, money, willful ignorance.

I've said this before, but there really is a big part of me that wonders if we are caught in one of those inevitable cycles - we will have to face disaster as a world population because the pendulum swing decides that less than half of the world population - the dysfunctional, insane, brainwashed, cult nearly half - has a big time self destruct tendency and wants to take us all down with them.

I just wish they would all go away and find another planet to ruin and leave those of us who know better to get on with things in much better ways for all.

That's my rant of the day - back to decluttering!
