Some lies are necessary. Jews who denied being Jews in Hitler's Germany can
hardly be faulted.
Some lies are kind. "No, I have not ever seen a more beautiful baby!"
Some lies are transparent and, therefore, don't really count. "I always shoot below par".
But, there are a whole lot of other lies that are, at their core, arrogant devaluations of those to whom the lie is told. They disrespect the intelligence of those lied to and assume, almost always without justification, that the liar is a superior person and is, thus, entitled to take advantage of his inferiors.
Trump is closing in on 14,000 verified lies told since his "inauguration". This alone separates him from virtually all his predecessors and demonstrates to anyone with an ounce of self respect that the man has no business pretending to be our president. His habitual mendacity is reason enough to drag him kicking and screaming from his imagined throne.
One way or the other, let's do it.
