"SNIP.....

With Republicans suggesting Democrats were just trying to overturn the 2016 election by impeaching President Trump, House Judiciary chairman Jerry Nadler reminded his Republican colleagues during the debate that Mike Pence would become president if Trump were impeached, not Hillary Clinton.

This acknowledgement was met by laughs and then cheers by Republicans.

......SNIP"

I hope democrats repeat that fact throughout the day so the country sees how the republicans favourite conspiracy theory on Trump' impeachment, democrats undoing the election of 2016, does not make any sense.

committed wrongdoing, they would have been ahead of the game to focus on the 2020 elections. The 2018 results suggested that things were trending their way, and if there were no interference (since the Dems in this scenario would believe that there weren't) they would welcome the chance to go after all Republicans at the ballot box, while hammering the message about all the bills that have died with Mitch.

I think there actually may be people who think that Clinton or Pelosi would become president rather than Pence. It's depressing!
