Is anybody sick and tired of hearing about the aggrieved 63 million voters?

How they’re not being genuflected to? How THEIR 63 million voices somehow were allowed to cancel and out shout and overrule the 66-million of US (also, oddly enough, constituting a MAJORITY) who have the REAL right to feel aggrieved?

Their 63M is somehow bigger and enjoys more clout than our 66M?

Sounds like the manifesto of an upside-down world, and world view.

Our numbers were bigger. OUR influence and clout and authority and dominance should reflect that.

And with the minority wrongly prevailing, again, seems to me it’s OUR right to feel aggrieved. And to say so. And, perhaps even to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!

That obnoxious disgraceful “oh, think of the 63 million...!!!” whine has come up several times just as I watch the House of Reps deliberating and speechifying about impeachment today. As one member of that 66-million-person MAJORITY that’s been kicked to the corner so the minority can rule, even in a purported “majority rule” governmental construct, am I the only one who’s seriously bothered and annoyed by this?

I’d appreciate some feedback.

Remind the person spinning that yarn that SEVENTY-FOUR MILLION voted for someone else. An even larger majority. Invite them to look it up if they like. They'll be shocked into silence...

I’ve been sick and tired of republican bullshit for about 40 years now. But yes— why do they all get so much deference?
It’s just another bullshit tactic to piss and moan...

230 million people voting age in the US. If we are just throwing around big numbers...

the aggrieved don't make up half of those of voting age.

That is, rough estimate, 170 million that don't care or probably want him impeached.

The number of voters is not directly related to the level of representation.

The proportion of voters for Democratic House members is substantially higher than Republican members due to gerrymandering. In 2012, we had an inversion where we had more votes but had to sit in the minority.

It is even worse in the Senate where our "minority" represents far more citizens because of distortions between the small and large states.

We brag about our democracy a lot but we really suck at it.

And to answer your question, we have the right to be aggrieved about it.

They're not arguing he's innocent, because he's not. So they're making crap up.
