Talking Points to Keep in Mind for Social Media Posts

1. How can Mitch McConnell take the oath for the impeachment trial, since it includes swearing to be impartial?

2. President Trump will have the cloud of impeachment hanging over his head for the rest of his life, whether or not he is removed from office by the Senate. How is he not ashamed?

3. Trump has been impeached for defying Congress and not satisfying subpoenas. Bill Clinton did not do that.

4. Trump's impeachment is based on his actions designed to help him get re-elected. Bill Clinton's impeachment was about lying about a consensual act of oral sex with someone not his wife. Which thing affects our nation more?

5. Why did Donald J. Trump refuse to let anyone testify who knows what actually happened with Ukraine, first-hand? Shouldn't they be his best defense? Why did he block their testimony?

6. Why are Republicans afraid of removing Trump, when Mike Pence, another conservative Republican, would replace him? Is there something wrong with Mike Pence?

7. Why, exactly, does Mitch McConnell not want to hear from witnesses at the impeachment trial? Does he know something we don't?

That's why he and Lyndsey are in such a tither. They have to get this over soon because they know damn well drumpf is committing impeachable crimes as I write - they know it and are so afraid more will come out before they can bury the previous instances of breaking his constitutional oath and putting Vlad and his own $$ and power above the needs of this country.

All they care about is $$ and the power they can get with it and they have that now and think PUtin/drumpf will keep them in high clover regardless of how many crimes they and their leader commit. Don't think they have consciences, and have their blinders securely fastened so they aren't bothered by inconvenient facts.

But yes it must suck to be so willfully stupid and evil.

If the President’s phone call was truly “perfect,” he would release the full transcript instead of just a doctored summary. But even the doctored summary is damning, with its “Do us a favor, though.”

By “us,” President Trump cannot mean the United States, because harming a private citizen does nothing to help our country. It can only mean a personal favor to him and his team, at the expense of the national interest.

If the President did nothing wrong, he wouldn’t have to prevent his witnesses from testifying.

If Trump truly thinks he will win in November, he wouldn’t have to cheat.

If the do "us" a favor meant the USA and not Trump's campaign, why would Trump tell Zelensky to "talk to Rudy", Trump's personal lawyer, who holds no government position?
