I have to admit I've not heard this excuse before.

Talking to an acquaintance at the pool where I swim.

She brought it up about "all you hear in the news is all this impeachment stuff."

She said, okay, he's done a few bad things. (!!) But it's the greedy news media pushing for his impeachment because they know people like to tune in to bad news and they get higher ratings when the news about him is bad. So they are the ones driving this whole "impeachment thing."

I replied that here is a guy who has broken the law his entire life and now that he's finally being held accountable for his crimes, he's complaining that it's so unfair. And that if the parties were switched and he was a Democrat. you can bet that the Republicans would have been ranting and raving away non stop over the exact same things that they claim are unfair to Trump.

In reply, I got a half hearted "I suppose...."
