Fareed Zakaria How Much Are You Paid To Lie To Me - The Economy Sucks Stop Lying

We are racking up debt like there is no tomorrow, and have deregulated polluters so Trump can "juice" the numbers. Americans and our children are being loaded up with debt, and polluters are passing the poison onto us so we can just die sooner someday. Deregulating polluters to "help" the economy. Idiotic if not simply murder. MURDER.

How much are you paid to lie to my face with your "media" friends telling me the economy is doing well?

Social Security got a 1.1% COLA raise. Like that will keep up with rent or bills anywhere?

Why are you pretending the economy is doing good, when so few are actually benefiting Fareed?

THE ECONOMY SUCKS FOR MOST AMERICANS.

There is more than GDP, Dow Jones, and Unemployment. How about life expectancy, stress, savings, bankruptcies, and cost of health care. How about national debt load?

Half America is one boo boo from bankruptcy, and living in a tent.

Stop lying to me CORPORATE MEDIA. The economy is only good for the 1%.

They are compounding their wealth while we are distracted by LIARS telling us everything is ok, when half the country doesn't have $1,000 in savings.

I enjoy your show and watch it every week but when you looked into my TV Screen and told me "the economy is doing good" I lost it.

It is not doing good for few but the 1%. Even if someone is lucky enough to make good money, they are taxed like there is no tomorrow. The middle class and working poor have to pay the taxes so the folks with 50 TRILLION IN WEALTH don't have to pay any taxes to speak of.

Maybe someday you can do a show on how the middle class is being slaughtered with taxes?

Like that is gonna happen.

We're talking about CNN here.....

I had not watched him in a no. of yrs until last month when I listened to him spout a bunch of whataboutism bs. Told hubby that was it, never going to watch him again. And haven't. Lying whore.

1). Fareed and his playmates in the Corporate (and especially cable noise media) are paid to fill airtime between ads for drugs we never knew we needed. The sometimes brush up against journalism, but it is mostly just infotainment. If you are expecting something else you will be (and apparently are) disappointed. The solution is to simply turn off these channels and find news on your own.

2). You are absolutely correct that there is much more than GDP, Dow Jones and Unemployment numbers to what is going on around the family kitchen table. This is why I support Andrew Yang and his Humanity First Campaign. GDP, Dow Jones and Unemployment have been the main measures the media has been using for decades - it's nothing new that's come about under Trump. It's not going to change by the time the election comes here next year.

Inflation as a measuring stick hasn't been used in decades, either.

It's clear they're not accurate measures of the economy if there is such a massive discrepancy between what they how the economy is doing and how people are actually doing.

At what point do we make a stand and demand these inaccurate measures of the economy are no longer used? When do we stop the gaslighting of the American people by these disastrous measures?
